Jeunesse Volontaire

Founded in 2010 and led by Sid Ahmed Ayadoun, Jeunesse Volontaire is one of Algeria's most recognized environmental associations. It launched the "Un Bélabessien, un arbre" (One Bélabessien, One Tree) project, which has resulted in the planting of over 63,000 trees across the 52 municipalities of the wilaya since 2017. In partnership with the wilaya's environment directorate, it has transformed several illegal dumps into green spaces. Nationally awarded for its climate commitment, it counts around sixty active volunteers.
